Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Cake Shoe

Cake shoe? Shoe cake? Either way, it’s kinda weird.

So these shoe cake things were made for an event honoring Peter Jackson. They were made by Jo Orr of Ciccio Cakes, and Jo made about 15 of them, representing films Jackson has made. Here’s the Hobbit one

The Hobbit Cake

The Heel of this Hobbit shoe is the staff of Gandalf the Grey.  The One Ring is in the top of the staff. Bilbo’s outfit is represented in the rest of the shoe. The label inside the shoe says Shire Shoes to represent the Hobbit’s shire.

Kinda cute, I guess. I like it!

Here’s the LOTR one

The shoe heel of this Lord of the Rings Shoe is Treebeard. The Witch-king of Angmar is the front of the shoe. The sides and back are the Elven cloak and leaf brooch. The inside of the shoe has Sauron Shoes to represent the Eye of Sauron.

OK, I love the Witch King’s helmet and I get the elven cloak and clasp thing, cute, but…Treebeard, what the hell happened to you?

Why did I show these to you? I don’t know, I found them and you know, they’re this edible thing that’s not a cake and I was like “well that’s different…” so if you were like “wedding cakes are too mainstream, I want to eat footwear at our wedding” well there you go.

We’ll return to our regularly scheduled LOTR wedding posts next time. Until then, here are the rest of the edible shoes, enjoy.
