Alright gang. When I was a little bitty baby in high school/early college, I found this amazing jewelry website that made THE most awesome Celtic wedding rings. I heaved a heavy sigh, favorited the website, and told myself that someday we would be together. I really did love them, and I really did intend to have one as my wedding ring.
But, things change. More specifically, web browsers change, and favorites disappear, and some things that should not have been forgotten were lost.
It wasn’t until last night that I rediscovered the jeweler! I don’t think ‘sadly’ is the best word here, but…’sadly’, I already have my engagement ring, which I must say, is literally the prettiest thing since Lúthien.
But! As my mother says, just because you’re on a diet, doesn’t mean you can’t look at the menu. And just because I already have the perfect ring, doesn’t mean I can’t look at other rings and think they are super DUPER pretty. That being said, I present to you the works of Walker Metalsmiths Celtic Jewelry. We’ll be focusing mainly on the rings, because this is a wedding blog, not a ‘pretty earring’ blog, but they offer beautiful stuff for every part of your body! Are you prepared to see some of the craziest Celtic wedding ring designs ever? Alrighty then.
First, a bit about Walker Metalsmiths
We are a craftsman run workshop specializing in authentic Celtic design jewelry and mixed metal designs. We specialize in Celtic knotwork wedding rings, crosses, brooches and much more in Sterling Silver and Gold. Our workshop and gallery is located in the Village of Andover in rural Allegany County of Western New York State. Our second gallery is located in Fairport NY on the Erie Canal. We sell our own work as well as the creations of several other Celtic designers and jewelers from Scotland and Ireland.
Here’s the simpler side
(I love this one)
Alright then, so those are pretty, right? Just a touch of old world charm, but still understated. Now, let’s just look at the other end of Walker’s spectrum, shall we?
That’s not your average Celtic ring. I LOVE these.
I love them. They’re like a whirl wind of Celtic magic, love, and gems, just like my life. Some may be a bit busy, but that only adds to their awesomeness. I rather like the mix of metals, though the ones with 1 metal are just as pretty. I also love how they’re not usually symmetrical, which only adds to the whimsy of them. Ug. Love.
Head on over to their main website to check out more rings, pendants, earrings, and bracelets. They also do custom stuff! Don’t hesitate to shoot them an email and have your dream ring made. Or shoot them an email and have MY dream ring made. Please?
So, just thought I’d share this crazy talented designer with you guys. I’m not saying all Lord of the Rings fans like Celtic jewelry, I just am saying that 96% of Lord of the Rings fans like Celtic jewelry. Hope you enjoyed these!
