My new Hobbit snowglobe from the antique store

Real quick, this isn’t wedding related at all.

Today, we celebrated my best friend’s birthday, who is also my maid of honor. She came over and  brought a gift for ME though. She found this snowglobe at an antique store recently and got it for me, because she’s so sweet!

It’s about 7 inches tall and is from 2001 (I was 11 years old when this was made, what?!)

The hobbits and the grass they’re on actually shakes when you move the globe. We don’t know if it’s suppose to, or if it was damaged in the past. It doesn’t move a lot, it’s almost like it’s on a spring, like a bobble head. It’s got green glitter  in it too. Despite how old it is, the water is pretty clear, though it’s probably murkier than when it was first made.

I love the hand!

I’ve  looked it up and it’s worth about $50 now. I don’t know how much she paid for it, but she said it was way less than that. I like it a lot, and it’s now on our mantle, because duh.

Alright, so that’s my LOTR moment for the day!
