My beautiful lace cloak-cape came!

Last time on Shanon tries to plan a wedding, I talked about how I had ordered this beautiful lace cape thing in place of my wedding veil. Well, a few days ago, it came!! I’d been tracking the package and it said it was in New York and the next day, IT CAME. I flipped out and started squeeling in the driveway when I opened the mailbox, neighbors were concerned.

Look!

veil

Looooove. However, it is different than the original I had found. I bought it from a website that had this exact image pictured.

And I don’t think that’s exactly what I got. The ‘real’ image looks to be less repeaty than what I got. The flowers also look more…3-D and fuller. But, I do like it a lot! It’s got little seams along the shoulders so they actually sit on your shoulders correctly. It’s not just 1 big piece of fabric, it has little shoulder seams, and they’re really helpful.

Next up, I’ll attempt to add a hood to it to make it a cloak and find a pretty little metal clasp to replace the ties along the neck.

All in all, I am very happy! I also just now set up my bridesmaids dresses appointment at David’s Bridal for next week, and all of this sudden successful wedding planning is kind of freaking me out, it’s so real! Thanks for reading guys!
